Profile: Kate Maruyama

Kate Maruyama’s novel HARROWGATE was published by 47North and her novella FAMILY SOLSTICE will be released January 30, 2020 from Omnium Gatherum. Her short work has appeared in print and online in Asimov’s, Duende, The Rumpus, Barren, Entropy, and Salon among other journals as well as in numerous anthologies including WINTER HORROR DAYS, HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL THREE, and PHANTASMA: STORIES. She is a member of the SFWA and HWA and is part of the Diverse Works Inclusion Committee for the HWA. She has been a jury chair for the Bram Stoker Awards and twice sat as juror for the Shirley Jackson Awards. She writes, teaches, cooks, and eats in Los Angeles, where she lives with her family.
